Across New York London Milan and Paris this year fashions weeks have been a blazing success, with brands showcasing the latest fashion and luxury trends. However a few standouts are apparent.
Goodbye to the Quiet luxury and hello to the glamorous and maximalist glamour.
As fashion enthusiasts know trends act in a cyclical manner, this last year we saw the rise of stealth wealth and understated luxury however this years fashion weeks have set the tone for a new arrival of maximal glamour exemplified by brands that took a walk on the wild side include Brandon Maxwell, Anna Sui, and Khaite, all of which felt refined but never devoid of personality.


Moreover this is further embodied by Tom Fords latest debut with Haider Ackerman as the new creative director. This takeover sent shockwaves through the fashion scene, sparking a new phase of Tom Ford. Traditionally a brand reliant on its infamous eyewear adorning a 80’s silhouette tailoring and leather accents. Ackermann showed that the embrace of new trends like the rock and roll chic of Saint Laurent while still paying homage to the brands aesthetics reinvents the new sexy with a well groomed streetwear debut.
Rolex Gets a new face

Other significant news that crept into the fashion weeks dates was Rolex's announcement that Leonardo DiCaprio as their latest brand ambassador. Nothing material just yet but we can probably assume this is part of some greater campaign as Rolex looks to continue their market dominance for another year. This choice is honestly a goof well-thought through fit, as DiCaprio's collection is pretty spectacular, in particualr this 116509 Daytona seen below from the early 2000's.
How luxury celebrates their Birthday
Furthermore, Audemars Pigeut turned 150 years old, marking this celebration with the release of some new models. The Standout ? a royal Oak perpetual calendar Openworked, limited to just 150 pieces and a farewell to the legendary 5135 movement taking its place is the new 7138 movement, debting in two 41mm Royal Oak perpetual calanders. The lineup also includes a Code 1159, two offshore royal oak self winding chronographs, and three additional Code 1159's.
